“My father, an old engineer, had put all his savings into BitGrail. When the exchange went bankrupt we thought it was the end. We came here on a colleague's recommendation. The lawyers guided us through the whole process of the insolvency estate and the segregated assets. They got 36808 euros back in full! It's a miracle. Thank you to Ms Grandi for her patience with my deaf father.”
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assets“Marie, translate this nicely for them. They did good work. CrestOption wouldn't give back my 14 thousand euros. The Cyprus regulator forced them. The money came in three weeks. Thank you to the lady who called, very kind.”
Forex broker: withdrawal blocked“Restitution ordered by the court, nearly 29 thousand euros back!!! I had left everything on that cursed VeneziaFX and the debts were crushing me, in my head the car was already half sold. The lawyers worked like clockwork. I understood nothing in those papers, I signed wherever they pointed, and it worked all the same. A miracle, I have no other word for it.”
Forex/CFD: court-ordered restitution“For a long time I didn’t believe it was possible myself, but the fraudster director personally went bankrupt. I was entered into the register of creditors. Part of the money was returned.”
Personal bankruptcy of a fraudulent director“They worked on me over the phone for weeks over Vexalon: a man who always rang after lunch and already knew how my health was, and in the end 13,884 euros. I found the firm in a consumer association's list. The case went through the court in Padua, where those fraudsters' cars and other property had been seized, and the refund came out of that sale. Only it came in instalments, and I waited almost a year for the last one with nobody telling me anything. That is what keeps it off five. As for the lawyers' work, I have nothing to complain about.”
Fake platform via call centre“Veridex Coin. Everyone knows about that by now. I didn't believe right away that anything would come after the confiscations. I didn't get all of it, but for me it was already a surprise. I go fishing more calmly now than I lived back then.”
Crypto pyramid: criminal asset confiscation“The segregated assets on the BitGrail exchange were returned in full through the insolvency estate thanks to the lawyers. The sum was 34450 euros. Honestly the work was done well, but the lawyer Ida Grandi disappeared for a week without any explanation. I thought I'd been ripped off again... Later it turned out they were waiting for the liquidator's reply in Italy. Couldn't you have just emailed the client?? Fine, but the communication needs improving.”
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assets“The court freezing the assets on the exchange is good. But part of my bitcoins the scammers had already sold off and scattered before the freeze, and the lawyers said right away that part couldn't be recovered. Sooo, I got back around 80,000 euros out of 120,000. The process dragged on a long time through the High Court in London. The firm is fine, works professionally, but they can't work miracles, that's a downside.”
Crypto theft: court-ordered asset freeze“The money finally arrived, and only then did the tension let go. The prop firm kept the payouts frozen for over a year because of a regulator's lawsuit (long stories aren't my thing).”
